Dear Nagarajan,

No  tuition fees is allowed for two children only

No.

As per Sec.80C(2)(xvii) read with Sec.80C(4)(c), the amount of tution fees as paid for any two children of the individual is only eligible for deduction.!

Agree with Mr Ashish. Calim U/S 80C is available only on tution fee paid by individual for his children not for self.
Dear Friends, Thanks 4 reminding I had 80 E in mind where Assessee can claim for his education. I m modifying my reply in order to avoid confusion...
hi nagarajan, i agree... regards,

Dear All

I agree with Ashish.

You can claim it under Sec.80C(2)(xvii)

Mr. Nagarajan

No...Tution fees for self cannot be claimed....

The amount of tution fees paid for his children (maximum two children) of the individual is only eligible for deduction.

Is Tution fees for child studying in Playschool/Nursery allowed for deduction, if school receipt clearly mention some amount as tution fees.
