hi.could you please clarify my doubt regarding the calculation of assessable value in central excise in relation to discount.i didnt understand what does the word inclusion/exclusion to transaction value actually mean...especially discount...could you please explain me how it is done in practical life...

transaction value / invoice value is final in excise, so any discount allowed must be taken prior to invoice.
