my father was running a business under sole properitorship, suddenly he got expired and my mother wants to take over the business and she wants to run the business, wht is the procedure for getting the tin number(vat number).

or is it possible to update the new tin number for existing one for the existing shop

. note: we want to remain the shop name and address the same...

tin no must b on the name of the firm na.....!! if so then u need not to change it

Dear ever, you have to change the authorized signatory of your business in DP-1 of your business at DVAT site. After altering the DP-1 you will have to take its receipt and other documents like-1.photocopy of death certificate of your father2. Photocopy of PAN NO. and voter ID card of your mother to the concerned ward of Sales Tax. If you still have any problem feel free to contact me on my no. 7503041273
