Hi Telephone allowance is received by Hindu reporter(employee) from Hindu news paper (employer). That allowance is taxable or not in the hands of reporter. If exempted, under what section, allowance is exempted please explain.
under the head salary in income tax, the allowances allowed for telephone from the employer to employee are completely taxable.
and the standard deduction came from the budget 2018 is a replacement of medical allowances and transport allowances only, other allowances will be available as it is as per the act.
