02 August 2012Q. A premises is provided on rent to LIC. during the current year they have deducted tds on rent paid to us for the two previous year....
My question is that can i take refund of TDS in curren?t FY. as no return is filed by me.
please provide referance of Notification or case law.?

as far as i see, you can file your income tax return even now for both years, as they are not time bound still... or are they?

read the form 16A carefully, and then only proceed, if the amount is paid in current year then they have done it right.
