one of my client recieved his mothers compensation for accident by bus.
this compensation is received from gujrat state road transport corporation.
and amout of compensation is received after dudecting tds of rs 38700
this tds is of rs 38700 is from year 2007-08
bus he is not geting this amount refund of rs 38700
how i should help him

Did he filed ITR for that year?
If yes, when intimation order received?
please make sure that income tax return to is filed for the relevant to assessment and year than ask your jurisdictional ITO to issue a refund produce all documentary proof in support of of your claim i. e. itr ack. copy, tds certificate and etc
