Hi. In your TDS chart Education cess is considered 2 3 %. But i got information from others forums and articles that there is no surcharge and education cess on TDs rate. Can you please clarify .Thanks

Dear Sir,

Sucharge and education cess is not applicable from 01.10. So i feel that the rates are mentioned is correct.

Surcharges is applicable for tds purpose only when the receipent is foriegn company and payment/credit subject to tds exceed rs one crores. in no other case Surcharges is applicable at the time of deduction at source. cess (both) are applicable for tds purpose in the case of payment of salary to resident or non resident and also payment or credit of any sum to a non resident or foriegn company.
