Bill of rent on DG set includes rent + diesel charges incurred by the lessor.
My querry is whether i have deduct TDS on whole amount of the bill or only on the rent amount?

as such on the whole amount. Alternatively request for a separate invoice with diesel being shown as reimbursement.
It Depends upon the agreement made between the parties. if the agreement is like a works contract then the whole amount is subject to a T.D.S. U/S 194C and if the agreement is for rent only then it actracts 194-I. So please see the terms of agreement.
