Please tell me I engage a building on rent 9 month rent rs.168000/- for year 2012-13. TDS rent limit is 180,000/-
please tell me how much TDS deduct on rent please breif in details.

NO NEED TO DEDUCT TDS IN CASE THE AMOUNT PAID / CREDITED IS LESS THAN RS.180000/- DURING THE YEAR.
TDS ON RENT NEEDS TO BE DEDUCTED ONLY IF RENT DURING THE YEAR EXCEEDS RS 1,80,000. AS UR RENT IS BELOW THIS LIMIT , U DONT NEED TO DEDUCT TDS. :)

NO need to dedute TDS if below limit i.e. rs.180,000 per person in a one year
NO DEDUCTION OF TDS REQUIRED AS AMOUNT OF RENT DOES NOT CROSS THE THRESHHOLD LIMIT OF RS 180000/-.
First of all u should check ur constitution like if u r a proprietor or a HUF, ur turnover is not for tax audit u/s 44 AB then u dont require to deduct TDS in any case & after it if u r liable to deduct TDS then u shoud check the limit b coz the limit u/s 194 I is 180000.00 P.A that is not crossed by u so u dont require to deduct tax
