Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) applies to labour charges paid for a proprietor's residential flat, especially during a business audit. The consensus is that TDS is not applicable for non-business purposes, meaning payments for personal residential work are exempt from TDS deduction.

TDS is not applicable in case of non-business purpose.
