Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the applicability of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on internet charges, specifically concerning Spectra internet bills exceeding £25,000 per month. According to expert opinions, TDS is generally not applicable to standard services like internet and telephone charges, as these are not typically covered under Section 194J of the Income Tax Act. The consensus is that your friend's advice is correct – no TDS needs to be deducted on such internet service bills.
