dear sir
i m paid rent to my landlord 2000 per month .
can i deducted tds in rent amount of and remain payment paid to my landlord
please sir give the suggestion me

Section 194I is not applicable to individuals and HUF
so no need to deduct TDS

However , if you are liable to TAX AUDIT in last P.Y and rent paid is more than Rs. 2,40,000 p.a then YES you need to deduct TDS u/s 194-I @ 2%/10% as the case may be.
