Hello experts, I am Head of a Govt. Aided 10+2 School in state of U.P.
Our salary is processed by education Department and paid by TREASURY. Till last Financial year Department was deducting TDS from salary .
But they have issued order that now every school head will have to deduct tds and deposit in govt account from April 2017 onwards.
Our school have TAN also deducated TDS but in challan we have to indicate code 92A or 92B i.e. sate govt employee or non govt employee.
We are confused what to indicate here .
Please help us in deciding if we will be considered govt employee or not.
P.S. Our appoint letter is issued by school managment committee after selection by satet education service commission of U.P. govt. Salary is paid by government as per pay commission.
