Quick Summary
If TDS has been deducted from your bank transactions, such as Rs. 150,000 on a Rs. 40 Lakh credit, the primary method to recover this is by filing your Income Tax Return (ITR). By correctly declaring your income and the TDS deducted, you can claim it as a refund or offset it against your tax liability for the financial year 2021-22.

Only by filing IT Rrturn
File appropriate itr and claim TDS which are deducted as refund after paying tax liability if you have occurred in that period
This is a wrong perception.
The querist has not mentioned anything about how Rs. 40 lacs got credited to the bank account.
More information is required.
Itr should be filed and then claim tds while filing itr
For all TDS deductions under various sections, ITR has to be filed to get refund if any and first to adjust against tax payable amount.
File your itr and take refund of your TDS
You have to file ITR and show TDS credit claim alongwith corresponding income. Tax payable on Total income as reduced by TDs Adv Tax will either be refund or SA Tax
Cliam TDS by filing ITR
Ay 21 22 pertaining to the previous year 20 -21
will start after the financial year ends.
Claim TDS TCS at the time of filing return. Excess if any, claim refund.
