Tds deducted but not reflected in 26as

Dear All;

TDS for the month of Jan, Feb, and March 2012 is already deducted from my salary and respectevely deposited by my employer and accordingly a TDS statement was also filled by the employer in April2012 for the last quater of 2012. I can see the TDS return filled on www.tin-nsdl.com challan status as BOOKED. This confirms that the TDS has been TDS return is filled but I cannot see the TDS for last quarter of 2011-12 being reflected in my 26AS form. Now while filling my personal Income Tax return, can I avail the TDS deducted for last quater against my Salary Income for the same period. Even TDS Form 16 (Form 16 updated upto 16 Jan 2012) provided by employer also shows TDS upto Dec 2011 only.

What can be the issue, why TDS certificate is not showing the already deducted amounts for Jan - March 2012 in my 26AS.

please confirm that your employer has quoted correct pan of your while filling the tds return for Q4. if it is not correct then the tds will not reflect in your 26as. In such a case tell him to make correction. tds reflects in 26as within 24 hours from filling the return. So i think your employer has made some mistake while quoting your pan.

as far as second issue you can claim the tds of q4 in your income tax return but before that demand for tds certificate with full tds amt. then only file the return.
