Dear friends, Is it the system of book adjustment of TDS by Government deductors is trouble free. Will it be possible for their deductees to claim their TDS amounts without any hitch from the IT department. I have been told that some recent changes have been brought by the IT dept in the system of book adjustment. Would you mind enlighten me with the relevant circulars/notifications/news on this topic?

If some department is making TDS by book adjustment , and not furnishing TDS returns giving details of deductee , its PAN no , and amount , then as per new computer system deductee may not credit for TDS . However , he can move petition u/s 154 for allowing credit of TDS , because the fact remains that Tax was deducted at source from him.
