Is it so that we cannot deduct TDS on tax....... i.e if i am making payment to contractor who is charging service tax
then can we deduct tax only on gross amount.....

Though Illogical but in absence of any specific provisions on this issue, Tax needs to be deducted on the gross amount including the service tax part.
