For one of the assessee,while purchasing timber for his personal purpose the TCS has been wrongly collected by the seller,now can he claim the same for set off while paying the self assessment tax ?

TCS collected can be set off only in case of business, if the timber is used for personal use, then bill amount is reduced from the capital account including TCS, hence no set off possible.
