Hi friends.My friend is from karnataka.He is giving a franchise of his computer business to someone in maharashtra.His franchise model is such that he shall show the goods transfered to his franchisee as his sales and the franchisee shall take it as a purchase.I want to know what VAT laws are applicable and also what has to be done.

It'll be OMS Purchase for the one in Maharashtra & so CST will be applicable to him. The Seller can issue C Form to avoid CST.
