Quick Summary
A junior accountant has mistakenly paid Rs. 68,770/- in cash to the wrong GSTN. The user is seeking advice on how to resolve this error. Potential solutions include contacting the party to whom the payment was wrongly made to claim a refund, or using the amount to offset liabilities on that GSTN and then claiming a refund. Alternatively, if the recipient is unknown, contacting the local GST officer is recommended, similar to rectifying incorrect PAN payments.

Consider the matter to the Party and claim refund or Amount from Party...
Option: Use this amount to the liabilities to that GSTIN, and claiming a refund require, fill the form on GST portal and submit the copy the the concerned department. which is long process so it is better to use the amount to liabilities.

option 2: Deposit the required amount of tax in cash ledger and pay the liabilities of your GSTIN
If you don't know the person relating to that gstin, just write a letter to proper officer of your local gst office, just like we do in case of wrong payment of Income tax to another pan instead of ours.
Yes in this regard contact to your tax officer in case you don't know the taxpayer in which GSTN the cash wrongly deposited.
