My friend is a B.Com graduate. He worked under CA for 3 years. Now he is doing auditing & tax consultancy work by opening his own office. Can he put a board like Karthik & Co., (Auditor) even without CA qualification.

Can he say 'An Auditor & Tax Consultant' to anybody.

Please clarify whether anybody I mean a graduate can say an auditor without CA qualification. With getting Tax Practitioner Certificate.

auditors need not necessarily be a CA. Anybody can do consultancy work and it is upto the clients to use you or not. so no problem u putting any board as long as u do not put CA before or after your name!

putting board as a consultant may lead you to pay service tax if you get a client that is all. you know there thousands of consultants out iof experience in the specific area of expertise that it does not mean you need to be a qualified person, you can hire a CA when CA is an employee he is no professional CA, but just employee like an LLB or any professional qualifications . it means your professional organization or association gives you the relevant license! once you get licence then you practise yhay way u got a certificate of practice!

u r legally eligible to run the business if you get necessary govt licences needed, tax authorities do not bother but they want tax revenue if u r out of exemption category!

Thanks a lot

There is no objection about firm name, But only Chartered Accountant is competant person to condut audit, Put remarks on Reports which are to be furnished to the Government Authorities.

For Tax Consultantancy purpose need not to become CA.

GDC& A parttime small course for Co-oprative law is sufficient for Co-oprative audit.

ITP CAN SIGN FOR WITH OUT TAX AUDIT CASE (like : P & L AND Balance sheet)
