Tax on bonds.

I had purchased bonds in secondary market @ ₹1080 about 18 months back. I recieved monthly interest on these bonds @ 12%per annum. The bonds matured in last financial year at face value of ₹1000. Is ₹1080-₹1000 a long term capital loss? While the monthly interest to be considered as other income?
