Can an NRI, holding USA Passport and having OCI card & PAN card, invest in Indian mutual funds? If he does invest what will be the tax implications in USA? Thanks

Any income which accrues/arises or received or deemed to be received in India will be taxable in India to (non resident, ordinary resident and not an ordinary resident) (sec 9)
