Hi , I have booked a apartment by Bank Loan , propert is under construction & so far 02 payments has been made out of 08 payments .
Now builder asking to pay Service tax for the next payments , Now my question is " it's whose responsibility to pay the ST ? "
what's the calculation ?

ST is an indirect tax and norrmally the cosumer pays for the same. However the levy is also very vague and lacks clarity. There is some dispute on whether in various types of transactions ST would be payable at all in case of residential construction since the flat is for the personal use of the buyer,
