SSI

ssi registartion is with DIC , first you get certificate for director of industrial ciorporation

registration office may be at any place but pleace in which your manufacturing unit is located that place you registerd for ssi unit

you are also require to take certificate from pollution control department

for all purpose (sales tax registration ,pollution control department or excise exemption certificate department )  certificate of DIC are require

testing agencies are not manufacturing units, so SSI is not applicable.

regarding exemption of service tax for basic 10L exemption, no need for ssi certificate, its value based exemption, and all assessees are deemed ssi upto 10 Lacs.
