If A person(Mr.A) is going to register a business of sole proprietor in his PAN name but name of business is his son's name (who is 3 yrs old)( suppose name of son is AB) ,so can this person register name as AB & Associates ?

According to me, there is no restriction regarding, which and what name you want to give to your business. You can do your business with any name subject to not violating the provision of trademark ect.
And if you are talking about professional firm like CA/CS firm than that is a seprate firm name registration rule in respective act and rule made thereunder and guidelines issued.
