Checklist for the Invoice enclosed with Softex forms in respect to

	Buyers name and address should be cross verified with export order
	Check for Invoice No. & Date.
	Check for Importer’s and Exporter’s Code Number.
	Check for Data Comm. Services (STPI / VSNL / DOT / Internet / Others).
	Check for the Export Destination
	Check for Export / Agreement / Contract / Purchase Order No. & Date.
	Check for Currency and Amount
	Check for Banker’s Name and Address
	Check for Authorised Dealer’s Code No.

can a proprietorship firm exporting software take the benefit under STPI. If yes what is the procedure? it is urgent. and my next query is whtehr service tax will be applicable or not?

What if no softex certified from STPI by STPI unit. And can bank issue BRC for no softex certified inovices? Payment is alreay  received against those inovices

I read your opinion on Softex in CAclubindia. I have doubts for

1. If IT company register under SEZ unit and more than 2 years they are not submitting SOFTEX form, then is there any penalty for non filling SOFTEX ?

we are are a software product export company. most of our projects are like ERP implementation. We receive payments on  completion of milestones. we are not STPI registered. Banks insist on Softex clearance when we receive payments. How are we supposed to handle this? what registration is required?  what are the monthly compliance requirements?
