small shareholders director
whether the tenure of office of a small shareholder director who has been considered as an independent director due to declaration given u/s 149(7) will be 5 years or 3 years??

3 yrs since there is specific provision in Sec 152 of companies act
I think it should be 3 years
Also 149 is a general section about ID whereas 152 is more specific and hence 152 will prevail over 149
