Can you just clarify on the following isuue:
Q. If a dealer is registered under DVAT ACT(local + central) whether he can avail basic/small dealer exemption limit Rs 20 lac ? IF YES, means no need to charge & pay tax to govt upto Rs 20 lac ?

Sorry bro, if registered then there is no exemption.
Moreover the exemption for unregistered is not 20 lac but only 5 lac if I am correct or 10 lac.
and that even for intra state.
No exemption for inter state transactions.
Thank for the reply Rakesh but DVAT had been ammended by FA 2013 and the exemption limit had got increased to Rs 20 lakhs.
