SIIB stands for Special Inteligence and Investigation Branch.If any consignment is under siib examination then you have to take NOC or No Objection from SIIB for the delivery of goods.Normally it takes 5to 10 days if consignment is ok.if there is any dicrepency found by SIIB then there is no time limit untill or unless their investigation is complete.Basically they check everything like invoice,bill of lading ,remittance proof etc.,everything related to consignment to check it's genuineness .If anythign suspicious is found then there is provision of imposing fine, penalties and other custom formalities.

if u want delivery of  ur consignment urgently then ask ur CHA for intensive follow up.
