can we display brand name on sign board instead of registered name under GST .?

what is the rule as per GST act?

Yes, you can display brand name on sign board, no issue

But, you need to display copy of GST Registration Certificate in your business prominent place

Not required GSTIN on sign board, just paste / frame copy of RC in your business prominent place

"Every taxable person is required to display his GSTIN number on name board or sign board of business and is also required to display his registration certificate in business premises so that a citizen can easily find out whether a person is registered or not,"

Rule 18: Display of registration certificate and Goods and Services Tax Identification Number on the name board

Every registered person shall display his Goods and Services Tax Identification GST Number on the name board exhibited at the entry of his principal place of business and at every additional place or places of business.

Notice can be issued if the GSTIN No is not mentioned on Signboard and on Front door of Business primses U/s 125 of CGST Act 2017 and the penalty under this Section can be upto 25,000/-.
