Please suggest whether the Book ,Carvinowledge Makkar SFM (Theory, Problems and Solutions Approach) (For May 2014 Examination), is a fully solved book. Would you suggest it for self study ?

I have also shortlisted the following:
1. A.N. Sridhar
2. Pattabhi, S.D. Bala
3. Rajesh Makkar

yes makkar sir ki coaching kar lo ya ye book complete kar lo ek hi baat h.

this one is seriously for self study,

its not fully solved.. refer sidhar book/rakesh makker notes

A.N.Sridhar is best for self study.

Rajesh makker notes are sufficient....for self study

yes it is as good as his notes

If you want to just mug up everything then makkar notes are best however if you want to study Finance seriously I would suggest SD bala,I have read Ashish Kalra,Rajesh Makkar,JB gupta and SD Bala and I must say nobody explains the concepts as SD bala and hence it is best for self study keeping in mind current trend of exams.

printed notes are more preferable....as they are updated

Go for Pattabhi sir's book..

Rajesh Makkar sir's hand written photocopy notes would be very good choice as i myself have taken classes from makkar sir. But his book (carvinoledge published) is not at all advisable. I have gone through with this book but the same is not helpful anyway. If you want a self completed book then you may go for J.B Gupta book

Best of Luck

Is there a huge difference between his notes and printed book? If yes, why so please?

a n shridhar is best (hard paper bound book), it consists more sums and theory
S d bala is huge no doubt bt certainly the best if u hv time to study sfm.
