So we are a small festive mandal registered in year 2024 in thane under Society act 1860. We are active only during the ganpati and navratri, we organize these festivals in our locality.
We were registered in year Aug-2024 but haven't made any compliance yet. As of Aug-2026, We have applied for PAN card and soon open a bank A/c. During this 2024 & 2025, we were using our personal UPI and Cash to collect donations and payments.
Donations received were around 110-120k each year and exp were around 100k each. we haven't filed any annual returns nor audited it.
- We are registered under Society Act, 1860 but as we are located in MH state, does Maharashtra Society Act, 1960 is auto applied on us?
- What compliances are required by us to be fulfilled?
