whether service tax under reverse charge mechanism shall be applicable in the case of courier services received

No. But please check whether the same would falls under GTA Service (if you are receiving goods and paying freight on the same).
Refer 30/2012 ST dated 20.06.2012 notification for specified service on which RCM/JCM needs to be paid.
