Hi friends, I want to know that can i obtain the duplicate copy of computerized receipt of service tax which was deposited by cheque and what is the procedure for that because the receipt given by bank has been misplaced and now the return of service tax has to be filed.
Please help as it is very urgent.

If acknowledgement is lost or misplaced, you can approach the concerned bank branch to issue a certificate of payment particulars including CIN.
contact the bank where u deposited and get a certificate in lieu of challan.
If you have deposited in Private bank like Axis or HDFC
Than make a letter that i had deposited the service tax but i have misplaced the copy of challan , they can issue another copy of challan.
If Govt bank they will give you certifiacte for the same
that you have deposited the service
u need the CIN only, then u can take the printout of challan details from NSDL site also
