The assessee has started providing a taxable service not mentioned in the registration certificate. However on going to the aces site, due to a technical snag, the registration certificate is not getting amended. Hence the assessee is unable to pay the service tax on the new service. In such a case, the interest on service tax is unnecessarily piling up for no fault of the assessee. Is there any remedy for this. Help desk has not been able to resolve the issue.

aces is not authority to amend or issue certificate, they just take the documents submitted on behalf of office,
if aces is not working then visit the service-tax office and get the registration certificate amended,
as there will be no amendment in number, u have to pay the taxes in due time, and get the RC amended within this period, and submit the return accordingly at tie for all the services.
