service tax on commercial rented property

senior citizen aged at 68 getting annual rent rs 180000/-
is she liable to pay service tax because the by the time of entered into agreement not mentioned who has to pay the service tax
now tenant reluctant to pay

is she liable to pay or not

any exemptions for senior citizens ,not taken any loans from banks etc

Annual rent of Just Rs. 1.80 lakhs is far below exemption limit applicable under service tax rules, of 10 lakhs.        Though service tax is abolished now, and in place GST has come......... where again the limit has been incresed to 20 lakhs......

So no need to charge GST or take registration under GST.........

If the tenant is a gst registered composite dealer is he liable to pay gst on the rent paid to me
