I want know that one of my client received a bill from A CA Firm of Delhi for representation before ITAT and the said firm charged service tax in the bill.

My query is that whether service tax is applicbale on CA for representatin fees also or not.

So far I know there is no service tax for representation before authorities

Yes CA service is taxable quoted in Appendix -1on serial no-18.....download complete FAQ on sevice tax :-

Earlier there was no service tax for representation services provided by a practising CA. This exemption was given in the year 2006. But w.e.f. 01-05-2011, such exemption was withdrawn and consequently, service tax needs to be payable by your client.
