Would like to know if any Service Tax has been imposed on A/C Restaurants in the 2011 Karnataka Budget, presented in feb. 2011.
If yes, date of implementation and rate.

Services provided by air-conditioned restaurants having a licence to serve alcoholic beverages in relation to serving of food and/or beverages. There has been a 70% abatement provided from the gross bill amount which in effect will mean an increase of 3.09% on the total bill amount due to impact of service tax.
