Dear all.

I have Excise & Service Tax registration both. I have excise credit more than 8Lakh and we are doing also a service activity for our customers. We don't have our own product we manufacture engineering product as per customers requirement. Now looking to business our excise credit is not utilise but on the same time we have to pay service tax. I know that Service tax can be adjusted in Excise credit and vice a versa. Now my question is how can i adjust both the taxes and how can I make register for my own and to submit with excise as well as service tax return. There was a column for taxes in Excise and service tax return for credit adjustment but I can get clear idea from it.

So please solve my problem and send any excle / word file through which I can maintain my record for both tax and its credit adjustment.

Dear Sir,

In our company we are rendering three types of services

1 transport of goods by road

2 transport of goods by rail

3 transport of goods by air

but we do not maintain separate accounts for each of them. Service tax liability arise on transport of goods by air.

My question is can we take input credit of service tax paid on telephone service, postage, courier etc. against our service tax liability on transport of goods by air though we do not bifurcate the specifically paid for rendering service of transport of goods by air.
