Kinldy let me know the applicability of Service Tax on courier agency, when the libility for registration attracted, any basic exemption for said services, abatements for the same.

There are no abatements, no exemptions for courier agency service providers. Basic exemption limit is normal one ie 10L. Liability for registration also is general one ie 9L.

Post office would run out of business if any exemptions or abatements given to courier agency. eventually cost will go down and pricing too..
