Previously i had 2 pan cards nos bearing ABFPS1153 and AAZPS1895C. On 22.02.07 i surrendered my orignal pan card bearing no.ABFPS1153A before the IT Department, but i found that my surrendered PAN card is still in existence whereas the PAN Card with which i am fiiling mny return is cancelled by the IT Department. I am an employee of ONGC, i am not even being entitled to my salary as they are unable to deduct my TDS. I have sent many letters to the IT Department but it was of no use. Please help.What do i do?????

Please refer the NSDL link here for cancellation of PAN card.
Have you cancelled the PAN no. in same manner? Do you have copy of the same? Than you can contact IT Dept for the issue.
If not, and your one PAN is already cancelled (confirmed) by IT Dept, you shall use the active PAN No.
You can contact 1961 or 18001801961, not sure but they may help you.
