I came across some of the people who want to know the exact name in Income Tax Department Database if they have the PAN Card. Because the name as on PAN Card is not exactly as that of the I.T. Database. They can use the following procedure to find out the exact name:
1. Go to https://onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp
2. Click on ITNS 280. A new window will appear showing e-payment.
3. Select 0021. Write the PAN. Select Assessment Year 2009-10. Write Full Name (Any name you know of the assessee - can be Raju). Write City (Any name). Select State of the City. Write Pin Code. Select code 300- Self Assessment Tax. Select Any Bank. Click Proceed.
4. The Confirmation Page will appear which will show the name as per I.T. Department database.
