Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether a Show Cause Notice (SCN) issued without ASMT10 for FY 18-19 is valid. A key concern raised is how to handle situations where a taxpayer is issued a notice due to their supplier's failure to file returns, leading to non-reflection in recipient returns. The taxpayer questions their liability for demand, interest, or penalty in such cases, especially when suppliers are in different jurisdictions, making it difficult to issue notices to them.
Sir on issuance of SCN for 17-18 period the taxpayer says that his supplier has not filed returns so not reflected in the recipient returns,he says why will he pay demand tax interest or penalty not his fault but suppliers,in that case what to do sir ? coz jurisdictions are also different to send a notice to his supplier? pls comment sir
