can we claim school fees in 80 c what is the rule of deduction of school fees

Upto 12000 rupees under children education allowance 80C can be claimed

I think school fees deduction not claimed only Tution Fees deduction claim in 80C

School fee or tution fee are same in income tax and same is allowed as deduction u/s 80C upto Rs. 150000.

Both school fees and tuition fees are deducted under 80C

Tution Fees are not eligible for deduction, only school fee allowed.

For salaried employees with up to 2 children, tuition fees paid in the entire academic year per child are tax-deductible. This means that a working couple can claim tax benefits for four children in total at two each. The maximum tax credit available under this head is Rs 1.5 lakh as specified in Section 80C
