“RESPECT WHAT YOU HAVE” dats what my topic says. Just imagine life widout dese parents, without your brother/sister, or without your best friend! We are surrounded by them all the tym, so v never really realise how much importance they hold in our lives. Being human beings, we always crave for things we don’t have. But we have things others don’t!
We are so much into our own lives that we don’t realise dat there are so many people out there who do not have such wonderful families, such great friends, the leisure to do anything, a comforting life with few problems dat are huge enough dat dey cause much worry.
Life is so good, yet we say “Life sucks!” You have a home, there are people who don’t have a place they can call their home. You have parents, there are kids who have no one whom they can call “Mom” or “Dad”. Your Dad is making these efforts to give you all the comforts dat he didn’t have when he was a kid. Your Mom is always waiting to hear “You cook lovely, Mom.” No matter how much your siblings fight wid you, they wil miss you when you are away.
The next time you leave your dinner plate just bcoz you are angry on someone, remember there is someone dying for a single morsel of food…..someone really is. The next time you pass by a street beggar, give him something to eat. I request you all not to give money. Please do not encourage beggary. Ever wondered, what’s the difference between the street beggar and a person who sells books, balloons or such other stuff on the roads??? You would say, the person selling stuff is in a better position than the beggar. I would like you to observe this the next time you see a beggar asking for money- ‘Does his begging bowl have more than 5 or 7 coins?’ Usually it won’t, not coz he is poor, but becoz he wants you to sympathize with him thinking that he hasn’t been fortunate enough today to get much money from people. The only difference between the street beggar and the person selling balloons on the street is the “willingness to work”. The age-old proverb “Where there is a will, there is a way” aptly describes this.
We generally think, “We should respect what we have because there are people who do not even have the basic necessities of life.” Ever thought beyond that? There are people living lives with problems such as acute poverty, health problems, physical handicaps, and things you can’t imagine in your worst nightmares! If you look at them, you will pity them and say “How do they live like that?” but the fact is….they do.
Life’s good the way it is. It could have been worse. Accept the challenges and hardships of life, face them and make life the way you want it to be.
At last, I would like to say, “BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE, because there are many who are not as fortunate as you. Love God for everything He has given you. Make people around you happy. Sometimes, someone else’s smile makes you smile.
Thank you all for reading my article. Love you all! God Bless You and May He shower His blessings upon you always.
