Quick Summary
If your employer has treated your reimbursed relocation and joining expenses as income in your Form 16, you can claim an exemption. This exemption can be claimed directly in your Income Tax Return (ITR) under Section 10(14) of the IT Act. While this might create a mismatch with your Form 16, it is a valid way to reduce your taxable income.
