I had missed considering HRA deduction as shown in Form 16 and had filled in Gross Salary while filing my original return for 2010-11. I recieved a claim for some Rs 24000 subsequently. I filed a recification request on reciept of the above claim which has since been rejected as per the website. I have not recieved any communication towards the same
Could some one help me out with details of what needs to be done? Do I wait for some communication from the Dept??
The department would be communicating to you definitely. I guess they'll be sending you an intimation u/s 143(1). But do prepare a REVISED return and submit it. ommitting to include HRA is not a mistake apparent on record. You cannot apply for rectification. you need to submit a revised return.
