see the exemption under various section. which section applicable to pvt companies then u have to maintain register under particular section.

Please find enclosed herewith List of Mandatory and non mandatory registers to be mantained under Companies Act, 1956. This list is applicable to all companies.

Alternatively you may also download the same file as uploaded by me from the corporate law section.
