Regarding deletion of PAN
Sir with due respect I want to know that I was the holder of PAN and I was filled my income tax return upto f y 21-22 but due to. oversight I was in receipt of another PAN and requested to AO. to delete my old pan because my new number auto linked with my aadhar card.The said AO say me the AO jurisdiction of your old pan is lying with another AO,and I requested to AO jurisdiction to delete my PAN with request letter and affidavit.Sir yesterday I was surprised that after more than 8 months the AO to whom I requested to delete my old pan,he has returned me all documents with all grievance filed time to by saying that your both PAN lying with the said AO to whom I was requested earlier and he give me advice to contact to another AO. Sir due to not linking of my PAN with my old PAN my business is suffering with loss.But no body delete my old PAN.Sir I have waste more than 8 months in this regard but both the AO not take the decision who will take the case of deletion or retained the PAN.please give me advice.Thanks

Deletion of pan
It's not possible to delete your old PAN. Bcoz, It's already with Returns. AO will take action based on the Old pan and it's returns...
Another pan with same pan cannot be issued.

Respected Sir I have request for deletion the old PAN to the AO ITO Ward Una Himachal Pradesh and at this time AO give me advice to filed an request letter to AO Ghaziabad in the jurisdiction my second PAN was issued and auto linked with my aadhar,so I have request to AO Ghaziabad to transfer my new permanent account number to AO Una Himachal Pradesh,and AO Ghaziabad say me that your new permanent account number has been transferred to AO Una Himachal Pradesh..Sir yesterday after 8 months AO Una Himachal Pradesh has been handed over to me all the documents i.e request letter, affidavit grivience filed by me time to time which is property of income tax department . That I have never recd any reply from both the AO instead the AO Una Himachal Pradesh was asking me that you have never filled any Request letter, documents for retain and delete the PAN,whereas in the month of July 2023 I was filled request letter affidavit and another required documents and receiving copy of the above said documents is lying with me duly stamped by the AO jurisdiction Una Himachal Pradesh.Sur now I want to know that can I approach to any higher authority in this regard.Thanks
Write a formal letter to AO of the new PAN to delink it from Aadhaar. He may ask you to file grievance. Login into the Old PAN and file a grievance to NSDL/UTI and CPC-ITR to delink the Aadhaar from new PAN. In the same grievance ask them to link your aadhaar with OLD PAN. But the process may take long time. Till then neither do any transactions nor submit new PAN anywhere.
Sir. Delink aadhar from new pan. and apply for linking to old pan. meanwhile do business from family member valid PAN so you will not lose on tds refund part.
Two pan cannot be linked with same adhaar.
